I especially hate when they have animals cause I am allergic to fleas and I get bit they love my sweeet bloood  :P my shins are so scared up from flea bites it looks like I got hit with buck shot blasts .

All I can say is Job security, we have work year round usually it slows by now but were busting butts still thankfully I have a vacation coming Xmas week.

Man I feel for ya Vin!  :( I used to paint for HUD back in the early 90's. and man was that a dirty job. Some apartments actually made me puke when I entered them. We had to paint them with the people living in them. I've seen sh!t smeared all over the walls in bathrooms. Corners in bedrooms near the bed where the pig would cough up lung cookies and spit them on the wall covering a good 3-4 foot square area. Bugs, roaches, dirty diapers laying all over the floor. ahhhhh the memories.  :-X

That's harsh!  I remember being a kid flicking boogs on the walls in my bedroom.  When my stepdad painted the room he gave me a little crap about it.  Then I told him "well you told me to stop eating them a long time ago!" LOL

I wish I would have taken pictures of this one room I did for an elderly couple.  The husband was only allowed to smoke in one room and they had lived there for over 20 years.  I was the first person to paint the room since they moved in.  You want to talk about disgusting,  there was 20+ years of nicotine tar on the walls and the bifold doors.  We spent almost 6 hours wiping the walls down in a 10'x12' room.  You could smoke the rags we used!

Hey thats my radio.....lol

That's funny bro... I was thinking the SAME THING!!!  :D

Worst room I ever did was back in 94 when I first started painting. This was back in Minneapolis and me and another guy were sent to a section 8 housing building. At the time I didn't even know what a section 8 was. I found out quickly enough.

The lady who lived there was really nice. Her kid was at school and she said before I entered the kids room that it was pretty messy.

OMFG!!! There aren't even words to describe how this room was. To this very day it's still the worst room I've ever painted!

Boogers on the walls??? Man that's kid stuff compared to the kid who lived in this room.

On these walls were vomit, urine stains, blood, FECES (maybe human maybe not?) boogers, magic marker, crayon, pencil, food, various dried liquids, a bunch of other "$hit" and of course the paint that was undernieth all of this stuff.  :o

If I was to walk into a room even only 1/4 as bad as that room today, I'd be making an immediate u turn.

Back then I was young and I was green so we just sucked it up, rolled it fast, and got the heck outta there.

You guys would have had to a seen this room. Like I said, words can't even describe it.

Cheers!

thats nuthin !!!

since the end of November 07 my wife and i have been cleaning out and cleaning up her parent's house..  her dad moved out, her mom was forced out by the health dept...  she's a compulsive hoarder, hasn't thrown anything away for 40 yrs., except for a health dept ordered cleaning 10 yrs ago which wasn't much....

anyway, we filled 5 30-yard dumpsters...

we've washed every wall and piece of trim w/ lysol...

now i get to paint the place before putting it up for sale... everything is semi-gloss paint and urethane...

ummm, anyone want to buy a nice 'flip house' in Mass' ? just 45 mins from Boston ;)

washy washy !!!

Be Well
