Question about Peel Bond

When Peel Bond is put over bare wood, does it block the harmful UV rays which kill wood fibers? Even though it dries clear?

I asked Tommy Boy a similar q - could it be used alone or for a clear top coat. He said no- it doesn't have the UV protection and would break down, needs a paint top coat.
