Busting a seam
« on: July 14, 2008, 11:25:20 PM »
Just for kicks, I made a quick video of me busting a seam on some 54" vinyl:

You know, before I watched that video I had absolutely no idea whatsoever what you meant by "busting a seam on some 54" vinyl". I thought I was going to see some video with you playing music or something. I'm so clueless at times  :-[

It looks like you are cutting down to the stud. I know you are just going through 3 layers but ,man, it looks like you are going right through a half inch of drywall too. ;D

I probably cut too deep in a couple spots on that seam, but the vinyl was major thick. Lets say only half-way to the stud, OK?  :D

Hey PWG -

Ever consider putting together some paperhanging instructional videos?

I'd be the first in line to buy 'em...  that is, if you made 'em.

Never tried using tape with seams. Looks like a great idea. I hate to hang wallpaper. Only do if I really have to.  ::)

As always nice job.

im trying to understand what you did there...

watched 3 times...

so you taped over the bit you just hung. then laid the next piece over the tape.

then cut on the side of the piece you hung over the tape...

then at 2.40, you take off the 2 little bits you cut. ok i got it. using a4 paper to simulate what you were doing.

upshot is your a cheater! great cheat though!
