Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm very used to the pulling and tuging. I'm usually a moderator amidst Painting Contractors, GC'c, Architects, Designers and Property Managers. Many times all of the above involved in the same project, at the same time.
Vandi.

Hi guys and gals, I'm a full time professional painter and decorator from Kent, England. I've been working for myself now for about four and a half years and do pretty much every kind of work from small domestic to large commercial and construction site work. I came across this forum recently while asking around for good advice regarding spraying technique, I got myself an airless machine in september last year but finding other users is pretty rare this side of the pond so I was told the best people to ask were you happy fellows!

Looking forward to picking your brains,

Richard

A Brittard!!  Welcome aboard. Kinda slow here these days, be patient.

As my name suggests, I tend not to pull the trigger too often.

 Hang out- good folks here.

Welcome Richard. Hope we can help you out any way we can. I don't spray so I can't help you out there.

Welcome new members!

Vandi - I too look forward to picking your brain from time to time.

Richard - I lived in Chatham many years ago (one town down the Medway from Rochester).  Whereabouts are you within Kent?

The paperhanger formerly known as 'Hangman418' shall now be known only as 'Hangman'. I will attempt a link to a page I recently created on FB to display some of my work.

Good morning,
New to the site so I thought I would check in.  Painting in Ventura for 25 years now.  Homes, businesses and customs mostly.

Good afternoon,

Recently I got the idea of doing repaint jobs for property managers. I figured this would be a good way of inducting myself into the world of a contract painting while doing a good job but not having the exptectations of being perfect one would expect in new home construction.

I've been a web designer now since 2001 and it does not provide me with the same satisfaction it used to. The bonus is that I can market myself with a kick-ass website which is something few local painters have done and I can get myself on the first page of Google for my city pretty easily with my knowlege.

I'm glad I found this website - I've got a lot to learn!

Yes , yes you do. Painting is nothing like web design.  If you really want to pursue painting , find someone who is good at it and work for them. It used to be called apprenticeship.
Pants and a brush do not make a painter.
 JMO,  YMMV.
