Is exterior paint alright?
« on: March 05, 2006, 07:52:29 AM »
The fella I'm giving the price quote to for the interior of his trailer has 5 gallons of Satin Latex exterior paint in his possession and has asked if it's possible to use it on his place. Now, I'd never suggest using interior paint outside, but what about the other way around? Any thoughts?? I'm priming the whole place first and I think money might be kinda tight for him so it could save him a bit of $$. Thanks alot, I'm really happy to have found this place, so much knowledge.

Mattie,

There is no reason not to use the exterior paint for the interior of the Home. It may not be as "drip proof " and it may contain some fungicide....so ventilate closed in areas while painting. Other than that, it should not be a problem..... :)

Hey Michael, in a mobile home situation don't you think that exterior paint might be the better coating? With all that moisture that percolates up through the floors...Just a thought that changes nothing... ;)

Good luck Mattie
