What type of paint should I use for new balcony floor?
« on: August 06, 2010, 10:16:01 AM »
We have a kind of waterproof surface on our balconies. The surface is made of a layer of latex cement, then fiberglass, then some kind of textured coating.
I don't think I can use normal deck paint because that is meant for wood. What type of product do you guys think I should use? We are supposed to repaint the surface every 2-3 years.

Thanks

I've had great resuts with this:

http://www.monopoleinc.com/catalog/index.php?action=viewprod&num=66

If it works for ya, don't bother to thank us.... Just send us money  ;D

I would also poke around the rest of their site. Chances are good you'll find what you need.

Good luck!  :)
Not painting so much anymore...More like Minneapolis Reality Based Situational Survival/Self Defense. Website coming soon.........
At the end of the day it all makes sense though.... When one considers the only thing that separates Pain from Paint... Is a T.

Use a urethane fortified  acrylic porch & floor paint or a 1 part acrylic epoxy floor paint. I used  Seal  Crete 1 part   epoxy water based today & it worked great (Satin finish). You can get it at Lowes.
