help give me ideas for estimating job
« on: March 17, 2005, 07:09:46 PM »
I have a job to do that requires hand scrapping loose paint off exterior slant boards (Side of townhome sticking out from other 2 homes on each side by 3.5 feet Approx (3.5x22) (just 1 side of home.she wants 1 coat of paint (Cust. requests no powerwashing). What all should i take into consideration when bidding a job. Just learning to bid jobs. Done a few jobs in the past and under bid them. don't want to do same mistake again. some guidelines would be helpful. She has a wooden deck to powerwash, weather-proof if the price is fair on the wall to be painted.

Rolled plastic is best way to go. Use the 1/2 mill type and poke some holes in it to allow the water to drain. you may still have to do some raking after you finish the job.
