Please Help! I Messed Up.
« on: July 17, 2015, 06:35:49 PM »
Hi everyone.  Newbie here.  I just painted a wall over a wood burning stove and needed to sample a few colors to get the right color match.  I just did the first coat and it looks great except when looking at it from the side, you can see where I previously painted the sample colors.  Will a second coat cover it so it's no longer visible?  If not, is there anything I can do to fix this?  I assume I can't sand it down at this point because there's a coat of paint on top of the three sample colors.  I'll never make that mistake again! Thank you for any help you can offer.

welcome......yes to achieve a uniform finish...a second coat is mandatory
I don't do this for a hobby and I'm damn sure I don't need the practice
