Backpriming clapboards, solid color stain
« on: June 07, 2016, 09:02:21 PM »
I am residing an area of a couple of squares  with new red cedar clapboard. For a color coat I'm using dark brown Sherwin Williams Woodscapes solid color stain. Is backpriming necessary? I notice that some of the siding I took down, 50's vintage, was not backprimed.
