Painted with wrong nap on new drywall
« on: December 08, 2016, 03:40:50 AM »
I had my some work done professionally on my walls and ceiling to smooth out. Then the painter painted with " nap roller leaving it all textured. I wanted smooth and paid drywallers for the work. Is there a way to sand the paint now smooth and re paint with a ⅜ " nap? Or if I just paint over will it smooth it back out at least some? I'm so disappointed! Please some advise!!!!

If, in reality it was a professional painter, make him (or her) come back and fix it. Painting over it will not help, it will need sanded.( or skim coated)

The paint can be sanded ok? We just had it all skimmed to make smooth. i hate to have to go through that again! I was not here to approve nap so not sure if he will fix. I said smooth but he said this was normal to use nap. We did not discuss before what nap. So his mistake or mine is not really clear. So looking for easiest way to fix. Thanks for your reply.
