How to prep rough textured plaster
« on: May 24, 2017, 07:35:45 PM »
I was just wondering if someone could suggest how to prep rough textured, painted, indoor plaster walls? There is no peeling paint whatsoever. You can't really sand the walls. So, is it best to just thoroughly wash the walls etc???

Unless they are very dirty just vacuum the dust and paint away

Are you looking for a solution to smooth everything out? I think if you lay the paint on thick enough it should get into the grooves well enough. If you don't think the brushes you have in storage will do the trick, you might want to head to a hardware store and ask for what brushes might be better for you. I head down to my nearest one in Ashfield and pretty much get the guy to advise and provide me with everything when I have issues like this.
