Just did an estimate in a nice posh penthouse suite.
Previous owners painted it themselves and did a horrible job and every surface is full of lint into the paint. lots of lint. never seen it so bad.
Any specific kind of sandpaper to use in my pole sander to make removing it fast and easy?
I know just about anything will do, but considering its everywhere I would like to make it go as fast as possible.

Musta got us stumptified on this one Steve ::), maybe your going to have to use tweezers HEH HEH j/k ;D

I Guess i'm just going to try a few different grits of sandpaper and see which works best.
Told the client not to expect 100% removal of all the old roller lint, but to expect a drastic difference.
ceilings, walls, trim, its everywhere!

I would use medium grit screens rather than paper.

I've used the same as PWG, the #150 screen cloths. Knocks it down quickly.

Right on guys, that was something I was wondering. Screen vs. paper.
I start that one tomorrow.

150 grit screens worked like a charm! But my arms are sore today after all that sanding!
I always give a light quick sand to walls (on repaints) anyways, but its' usually a quick pass that might get rid of a few little picks and maybe the odd lint here and there. And again between coats.
But considering the amount of lint on this job I was extra vigorous on the sanding and pressing quite a bit harder to ensure I get most of it out. And covering every inch of surface. Kitchen, Living room, entrance, hallways, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Ceilings too!
I think I'll be feeling the aches in my shoulders tomorrow.

Buildum up steve ;D
i'll have to remember this one, its sorta odd but I have noticed lint in painted walls before.

Vin,
Sometimes identified as dust nibs. I've seen spiders, flys, feathers, long hair, and more embedded in wall paint.
The screen comes in various grits. I find the 150 is the best knockdown.

Sand a couple more like those, and you'll get arms like Popeye!
